Volunteering Creates Strong, Healthy Communities.
Recognizing the importance volunteerism plays in creating a healthy community, ThedaCare’s Employee Volunteer Program (EVP) matches team members’ time donated to our communities with dollars to non-profit organizations to support living our mission outside of work.
Aligning with our community health priorities identified in our needs assessments, the EVP creates meaningful opportunities to improve the health, well-being and quality of life for residents, and engage and inspire our team members.
During an average year, ThedaCare team members record around 80,000 hours of volunteer service to 450 non-profit organizations. That’s equivalent to 38 full-time employees valued at $1.7 million to meet community needs.
In 2020, a year that flipped volunteerism upside down, ThedaCare still managed to cautiously meet community needs. In particular, ThedaCare along with Volunteer Fox Cities reimagined Make A Difference Day to combat social isolation with residents at long-term care facilities which has elevated with the onset of the COVID19 pandemic.

As 2021 unfolds, volunteerism will continue to be a way to help our communities prosper and strengthen the talent of our team members.
