ThedaCare supports nonprofit organizations whose efforts align with our mission and support positive community engagement in regions served by ThedaCare. Requests must be submitted through the online application process to be considered.
Nonprofit organizations that meet the criteria below may apply for a charitable contribution or sponsorship according to the bimonthly meeting schedule shown below. Only one application per organization will be entertained per year. Please note that funding in previous years does not guarantee future support.
Criteria for Funding Consideration
Request must:
- Align with ThedaCare’s mission and values
- Benefit the regions served by ThedaCare
- Organization submitting request must be recognized by the IRS as tax-exempt, classified by one of the 501(c) designations
Priority consideration is given to requests that:
- Address needs identified in our Community Health Needs Assessment
- Align with priorities of our 2026-2028 Community Health Improvement Plans include mental health & substance use, nutrition, and access to supports for health and wellbeing
- Involve ThedaCare Team Members
- Support community partnerships critical to advancing our mission
ThedaCare does not provide funding intended for:
- The sole benefit of an individual
- Local, state or national political organizations or campaign committees
- Religious organizations (for religious purposes)
- Controversial organizations in potential conflict with ThedaCare’s mission and image
- Capital or annual giving campaigns
- Endowment programs
- Fraternities or sororities
- Individual scholarships, memberships, or fellowships
- Events for which the focus is alcohol
- Professional conferences
- Tournament or semi-pro sporting teams
- Fundraising initiatives incompatible with our health system foundations
- Initiatives that primarily support communities outside the ThedaCare service area
- Organizations that are not recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt organization classified by one of the 501(c) category

ThedaCare Family of Foundations Funding
There may be additional opportunities to request funding for your organization through the ThedaCare Family of Foundations. The ThedaCare Family of Foundations is committed to supporting projects and initiatives that enhance the patient experience and ensures access to high-quality health care for all.
While donor support to the foundations’ primary funds programs and projects within ThedaCare, limited funding is available for external organizations on an invite-only basis.
