Payment Options

Keeping billing and payment more convenient for you.

If you’ve received a bill from ThedaCare, you have options. We welcome the opportunity to assist you in finding the right financial solution that works for you. 

  1. Pay your balance in full. We offer the following payment options:
    • Pay online with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American Express card at MyThedaCare
    • Log into your account to pay online. If you are new to MyThedaCare, an activation code is available on your billing statement.
    • Call us to make your payment over the phone. Mail payment with your last billing statement.
  2. Contact our friendly Customer Support staff to set up an interest-free payment plan.
  3. Apply for the Financial Assistance Program (Caring Hearts). Qualified applicants may be eligible for discounted services. More information about financial assistance is provided below.

Single Patient Billing

To further safeguard the privacy of our patients, ThedaCare bills each patient separately, effective March 26, 2019.

Patients age 18 and older will receive their own bill, mailed to their attention, regardless of insurance plan or whether they live at home with their parents. These patients are considered the “single guarantor” and are legally responsible for payment of the account. Adult patients are encouraged to create a MyThedaCare account where they have access to scheduling, billing statements, payment plans, price estimates, lab results and more. Patients are able to grant permission for others to access their information; the recommended method is to enter the names in their MyThedaCare account.

For patients under the age of 18, the legal guardian will be listed as the guarantor and is responsible for payment of the account. Information for children age 17 and younger will continue to be available to guarantors. Once these patients turn 18, guarantors will no longer be able to see their information unless the patient grants permission.

Financial Assistance for Patients in Need

ThedaCare is committed to improving the health of our communities. Caring Hearts, our financial assistance program, is designed to help patients who are unable to pay for medically necessary medical services. The Caring Hearts program will reduce or eliminate the patient bill if eligibility criteria are met.

Application Process

Complete the Caring Hearts application and provide us with the requested financial documentation so we can determine eligibility. Please understand we cannot process your application without the financial documentation.

Obtaining an Application

Call us at (800) 236-4102 to request an application so we can update your account. This will avoid collection action if your account is past due. 


Our Customer Support experts will process your application according to the guidelines outlined in our policy (see below). Provided you supply all of the requested information, you will receive the results in writing within 10 business days. If you receive a partial discount on services, please contact us and we will work with you to set up a payment plan for the remaining balance.

Paying Online is Easy & Secure

MyThedaCare offers secure, convenient online access for all your ThedaCare communications. In addition to sending and receiving messages with your doctor, making appointments and seeing test results, you can also pay your bill. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover or American Express.

How to Pay Your Bill on MyThedaCare

Sign in to MyThedaCare if you have an account. You’ll see the “Pay My Bill” button.
If you don’t already have an account, now is the time to sign up. It’s easy! To begin, visit the MyThedaCare sign-up page. Then, click the “Sign Up Now” button under “New User.”

If you have an activation code:

  1. On the MyThedaCare sign-up page, enter your activation code and the other requested information.
  2. Click “Next.”
  3. Screens will walk you through the sign-up process.

If you do NOT have an activation code:

  1. On the MyThedaCare sign-up page, click the button “No Activation Code?”
  2. Provide the requested information and click “Next.”
  3. Screens will walk you through the sign-up process.
