Shawano Medical Center Foundation Launches 15 Million Campaign

The Shawano Medical Center Foundation announced the launch of its new campaign, Living Well Together, in support of the construction of ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano. The new facility, expected to open in 2015, will replace the 82-year-old Shawano Medical Center and create a local center for convenient, coordinated health care. The Foundation is supporting the campaign with a $250,000 lead gift and a challenge to the community to raise $500,000 in a challenge grant.

Waupaca Diabetes Education Expands

The Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE’s) at Riverside Medical Center are working with providers at ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca to help patients with diabetes improve their health.

At the June 3 meeting of the board of directors for Shawano Medical Center, the board unanimously approved plans for the construction of ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano. The new $50 million facility, expected to open in early 2015, will replace the 82-year-old Shawano Medical Center and create a local center for convenient, coordinated health care.

Dad Doctor Has Stronger Appreciation for Expecting Families

Daniel Sutton, a family doctor at ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca, has delivered numerous babies. He guided patients through their nine months of pregnancy. And he has provided well child visits to those babies he helped deliver.

Smith to Lead Cardiovascular Value Stream

ThedaCare Welcomes Orthopaedic Surgeon

Brett Young, MD, is now on the staff at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah and at Riverside Medical Center of Waupaca. He is employed by Orthopaedic Specialists, S.C. as a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon.

Family Doctor Delivers Quality Care

Mindy Schroeder of Hortonville had no problems selecting a family doctor to be her obstetrician. Working at the birthing center at New London Family Medical Center gave her some insight on who she wanted caring for her and her baby. In 2009, she selected Timothy Houlihan, MD, a family doctor at ThedaCare Physicians-New London, to deliver her first baby.

Providing Compassion in Death

Riverside Medical Center’s (RMC) Cindy Tate serves multiple disciplines in the community. She is an RMC facilitator for the ThedaCare Improvement System (lean). Outside of RMC, she is on-call for Waupaca County as a deputy coroner, sometimes called a death investigator — a position she’s held for eight years.
