Health Care at the Speed of E Visits

In an age when electronic communication often helps simplify and speed access to information, last May ThedaCare launched patient e-Visits with primary care providers. E-Visits do not require patients to go into a clinic to be seen in person by a care provider; rather, patients log on to their MyThedaCare private web account, select what they want to be “seen” for, and answer several questions specific to their ailment. Within two hours, they will receive a response from their physician, including a plan of care and a prescription, if needed.

ThedaCare Names Laura Reed RN Chief Operating Officer

ThedaCare today announced that Chief Nursing Executive Laura Reed has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, a new position within ThedaCare. Reed will keep her CNE position and continue to report to Dean Gruner, MD, President and CEO of ThedaCare.

Kary Cappaert Finds An Extended Family at ThedaCare

When Kary Cappaert started her nursing training in Escanaba, Mich., she knew several things. First, she wanted to do something to help people. And second, she wanted a job where no two days were the same. More than 15 years later, her wishes were granted when she became a nurse practitioner at ThedaCare Physicians–Shawano earlier this year.

Berlin Wild Rose Hospitals Changing Names

ThedaCare announced today that Berlin Memorial Hospital and Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital will become ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin and ThedaCare Medical Center-Wild Rose when their exterior monument signs are updated. The Wild Rose name change takes effect today, Fri., July 29, and Berlin will convert on Aug. 9 The new names complete an organization-wide rebranding effort announced two years ago to identify all ThedaCare locations in Wisconsin with the same name.

Dr Zachary Baeseman Discovered the Joy of Family Medicine in Rural Wisconsin

When Dr. Zachary Baeseman grew up in a rural village in north central Wisconsin there were no traffic lights and no fast food restaurants. His medical training took him from Wisconsin to Seattle. Today he’s back in the area, providing full-scope family medicine at ThedaCare in Waupaca. And he couldn’t be happier.
