April is child abuse prevention month. Child abuse is a difficult topic for me to talk about because the idea of it is just so despicable. I have to admit I feel physical symptoms of nausea when I see a report of another child or baby being abused or killed by a caretaker.

I was forced to depend on others but hated to ask. Then a friend said, “If you don’t ask someone for help, you’re denying them the opportunity for grace.” That was good advice as I started rehab right after surgery. The help they gave was phenomenal and the exercises they’ve taught me have worked really well.
