Celebrating Milestones
Donors are the foundation, framework and building blocks of ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center.
An abundance of generosity by community members – $7 million raised through the ThedaCare Family of Foundations CONNECT campaign – supported the opening of the center on the Encircle Health Campus in Appleton in February 2016. Five years later, donations to the Family of Foundations continue to enhance many cancer care resources, services and therapies available at the center.

Reinvesting In Our Future
Supported entirely by donors like you, ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah renovated its main entrance and other areas to enhance patient care. This major investment in our facilities and the communities we serve was made possible through the generosity of donors to the ThedaCare Foundation-Neenah. We thank Bergstrom Automotive for making the lead gift in the 16-week renovation project.
Upgrades were made to the main entrance, the main lobby and the Aylward Surgery Center registration area with new flooring, wall coverings, furniture and more. Thank you for investing in the future of our community hospital!
Expanding Cancer Care
Because of you, ThedaCare is able to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day through an annual event that allows patients to connect, share treatment milestones and give thanks to those who have supported them in their cancer-care journey. In addition to the all-day event and dinner celebration, cancer survivors have an opportunity to ring the survivorship bell at ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center in Appleton. Your generosity has also contributed to our ability to offer camisoles, wigs and DigniCap therapy to cancer patients at the High Hopes Salon. Thank you for providing healing and inspiration to cancer survivors and patients in our community.
Enhancing Care with Education
A new addition to education for ThedaCare team members is thriving with help from our partner, Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC). Fully supported by donors like you, the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Scholarship Program launched in 2019. Your generosity helped fund the course materials and exam fees for students in the program. Through this program, 25 CNAs are now part of our ThedaCare team, providing compassionate care to our community. With a commitment of least one year by CNA scholars to work their assigned job, ThedaCare enhances job retention and consistency of care for patients.

Increasing Access
Thanks to your generosity, medication take-back drop boxes were put in a variety of our medical centers to curb and prevent the abuse of prescription drugs. As part of a ThedaCare community health initiative to combat opioid abuse, these boxes provide a convenient and accessible way for community members to safely dispose of unused medication. ThedaCare is one of the few health care organizations in Northeast and Central Wisconsin that has permanent take-back boxes in their hospitals. Unused medication can be dropped into any of the secure boxes 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Thank you for investing in the health and wellness of our community by helping to increase access for patients to safely dispose of their unused medications.
