Meet the Team
Jennifer Roberts, MD, MS, FACS
Associate Chief Medical Officer, Trauma and Critical Care
Director, Non-Cancer Research
Contact Dr. RobertsLifelong discovery has always been a passion of mine. Encouraged from a young age to ask “why” by my parents (yes, really!), and developed professionally by my mentors as a trauma surgeon, I’ve learned research is far more than just the collection of data. It stimulates critical thinking and demands passion, resilience and dedication. It’s the framework behind innovation that ensures our community receives the care they deserve to live their best lives.

Heather X. Rhodes-Lyons, PhD, DHS, MHS, RT(R)(ARRT)(CT)
Director, Trauma Research Infrastructure and Implementation
Contact Dr. Rhodes-LyonsI grew up in a rural community where the nearest hospital was a drive and the closest trauma center was a decision. That distance shaped everything I do. Injury does not respect county lines, and neither should the care that follows it. No patient should have a different chance at survival because of the zip code where they were hurt. What brought me to ThedaCare is the conviction that rural and urban systems succeed together. Collaboration across a region is not a courtesy; it is the mechanism by which a patient gets home.

Carolyn Harvey BS, MPH
Manager, Medical Education and Non-Cancer Clinical Research
Contact Carolyn Harvey BS, MPHJournalism provided the unexpected first step of my journey, igniting the spark that would lead me to advocacy, social services, patient care and, finally, public health and research. A personal belief in lifelong learning supports my love of words and science. These are all the necessary ingredients to fuel clinical investigation, the engine that drives innovation. Who among the curious would not want to be a part of that?
