Welcome to New London
With over 900 acres of parks, trails and recreational facilities, as well as a beautiful, historic downtown, it’s no wonder Fox Cities Magazine considers the city of New London “worth the drive.” In addition to the growth and prosperity represented in New London’s well-kept homes, thriving businesses and model school system, it’s hospital (one of seven in ThedaCare’s system) has been recognized as a Press Ganey Associates, Inc “Commitment to Excellence Award” winner for demonstrating continuous improvement in patient experience.

Our History
For more than 90 years, New London has made it a priority to provide “big city” health care to the rural community. The original New London Community Hospital of the 1920s now serves as ThedaCare Medical Center of New London and delivers a wide range of services and specialties to residents of Outagamie and Waupaca counties. These include surgery and chemotherapy centers, as well as routine and emergency care.
Our Community Impact
We believe that a person’s health is not only impacted by the health care system but also the world around them. That is why ThedaCare continues to partner with organizations throughout New London and its surrounding communities to support initiatives that make a difference to individuals and their families, including:
- Sponsoring local farmers’ markets to promote healthy eating and combat diabetes (Wolf River Market Place).
- Helping area businesses achieve affordable, sustainable workplace wellness programs (New London Workplace Wellness Initiative).
- Providing free healthcare services, haircuts and groceries to those who otherwise couldn’t afford it (Mission of Hope House).
Creating Positive Change
Every three years, ThedaCare conducts a health needs assessment of each of our seven hospital markets. Based on the results, plans are created to guide our work and address the most critical health challenges facing these communities we serve.
