Welcome to Berlin
Located along the Fox River, Berlin is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with its multiple parks, a popular campground and the renowned Mascoutin Trail. The city provides convenient access to public and parochial education programs, serves as home to a number of global industries and houses ThedaCare’s nationally recognized hospital system, nearly a dozen outlying clinics, as well as Juliette Manor and Juliette Terrace, our skilled nursing and senior living residences.

Our History
Yates Memorial Hospital opened its doors in 1912 when Mr. Porter Yates donated his home to be used as a hospital. When community members pooled their resources to form the Berlin Hospital Association in 1911, little did they know how much their hometown hospital would impact the local quality of life for the next 100 years and beyond.
ThedaCare Medical-Center Berlin, as it’s known today, has evolved to include 170 providers and offer services ranging from general surgery to orthopedic, cardiovascular and cancer care.
Our Community Impact
We believe that a person’s health is not only impacted by the health care system but also the world around them. That is why ThedaCare continues to partner with organizations throughout Berlin and its surrounding communities to support initiatives that make a difference to individuals and their families, including:
- Parenting classes (ACT Raising Safe Kids)
- Youth mentoring (Boys & Girls Club)
- Home visiting program (Children’s Wisconsin)
Creating Positive Change
Every three years, ThedaCare conducts a health needs assessment of each of our seven hospital markets. Based on the results, plans are created to guide our work and address the most critical health challenges facing these communities we serve.
