Our Approach
Getting affordable prescription medications shouldn’t be a hassle. When you choose an onsite ThedaCare pharmacy, you know you’re choosing the best customer service experience. We’ve provided essential healthcare services and support to our patients since 1909.
ThedaCare patients also benefit from our wide range of specialized services to help them navigate their health, including Diabetes Support and our 340B Program.
Our Diabetes Support program is a great resource to help you take charge of your health. Talk with a diabetes educator to learn more about your condition, how your eating habits can impact your diabetes, and helpful tips for checking your blood sugar. They can also teach you how to take your prescriptions so you can effectively manage your diabetes and overall health.
The federal 340B program allows participating healthcare systems, like ThedaCare, to provide low-cost prescription medications to eligible patients. This prescription medication discount program began in 1990 following the passage of the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program. Its primary goal was to reduce prescription drug costs for Medicaid, but the program expanded to include safety net providers.
Eligible patients save up to 50% on their prescriptions as long as they receive their healthcare from a ThedaCare facility or healthcare professional. Patients experiencing financial hardship can benefit from the 340B program and receive their medications for just $1. Ask a ThedaCare pharmacist if you’re eligible so you can start saving today!

ThedaCare Pharmacy Controlled Substance Policy
At ThedaCare Pharmacy, our role is to be a facilitator of your medication needs and not a barrier. As such, we would like to share with you our controlled substance policy.
- We fill controlled substance medications no more than three (3) days early. Exceptions are allowed with authorization from your provider and/or for those with mail delivery of their prescriptions.
- Controlled substance medications are not eligible for auto-refill. We kindly ask that you request your refill and consider if extra time is needed to obtain a new prescription (i.e. if you are out of refills).
- Controlled substance medications are not eligible for automatic refill request. Rather, refill requests are sent to your provider only if you request the pharmacy to do so.
- Controlled substance medications are eligible to be mailed, however require a signature upon delivery.
- Controlled substance medications require an identification to be presented if picking up in the pharmacy, or curb-side.
