Becker’s Hospital Review named Dean Gruner, MD, president and chief executive officer of ThedaCare, as one of its top “300 Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know,” which recognizes healthcare leaders from across the country.
Officials at both New London Family Medical Center and ThedaCare, the community health system that operates the 25-bed hospital, jointly announced their intention today to rename New London Family Medical Center to ThedaCare Medical Center-New London.
Lesley Fuerst of New London feels right at home at ThedaCare Physicians-Clintonville. Fuerst, a family practice nurse practitioner, was familiar with the clinic through her clinical rotation while in school. “I knew it was a good clinic,” said Fuerst, who joined the family practice in April. “I like working in my own community.”
ThedaCare welcomes Dorrie Happ, MD, a family medicine physician at ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca, who has special interest in obstetrics.
ThedaCare welcomes Maria Vandenberg, MD, to the Women’s Care of Wisconsin Appleton location as a physician specializing in obstetrics/gynecology. She will also practice at Theda Clark Medical Center and Appleton Medical Center.

ThedaCare will begin building improved advance care planning systems this fall through participation in Honoring Choices Wisconsin (HCW), the Wisconsin Medical Society’s initiative to promote the benefits of and improve processes for advance care planning across the state. ThedaCare is the only healthcare system in Northeast Wisconsin participating.
