The ThedaCare Medical Center-Wild Rose cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs will reopen May 8, providing residents with a local site to complete their vital rehabilitation following severe cardiac events, including heart attacks or heart surgeries, and a variety of chronic pulmonary conditions.

On Mon., March 20, 2017, surgeon David DeWitt, MD, orthopedic spine surgeon, performed the first nanoLOCK™ spine fusion surgery at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah.
“When you spend your days on your feet like I do, your knees are a big deal. I was at a point where I needed both knees replaced. I couldn’t afford to keep putting off the procedure because my quality of life was starting to suffer.
“Why are you holding your arm over your chest? Are you having chest pain?” asked Scott Ludford’s doctor, Mindy Frimodig, DO, at the Zion Lutheran Church social in Shawano last spring. Pastor Ludford smiled and assured her he didn’t have chest pain.
The new location is open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Last year, ThedaCare announced a significant expansion of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) program at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton. Today, the program has 16 dedicated nurses in the program and has developed several key partnerships in the communities throughout Northeastern Wisconsin and increased services for pediatric victims. Within the next few weeks, they will have 24/7 adult coverage.
