I had to physically move to the Fox Valley in June in order to fully understand what an outstanding community we have here. After 26 years at Mercy Health in Ohio, first as an intern and medical resident, and eventually a system leader for the Toledo region, this was a major change for me and my family.
Lindsey knew nursing was her passion early in life. “I have always enjoyed working with people and helping them through difficult situations,” said Lindsey. “People are often very nervous when they’re heading into the operating room. It’s a big deal for them and can be stressful. I think it’s important that they have someone to answer their questions and it’s so rewarding to help them out.”

“Stop the Bleed” is a campaign that will provide the general public with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to control life-threatening bleeding. Sadly, this idea was conceived a few years ago in Florida to prevent death from exsanguination related to mass shooting and other mass casualty events.

They say a picture is worth 1000 words, but for Christy, lead ultrasound technologist knows that sometimes it’s worth even more. “The images I take help physicians diagnose and treat patients,” said Christy. “I know that clear images can make a significant difference in a patient’s life and it makes me happy to know I had a small part in helping them.”

You can definitely say Brandon McMullen drives in the fast lane. McMullen, a physical therapist at ThedaCare Medical Center-Berlin, can often be found on weekends going around a race track in his 1,600-pound sprint car traveling up to 100 miles per hour.
