ThedaCare Named on Forbes Best-in-State Employers 2022 List

Health System Recognized Among 50 Top Employers in Wisconsin

ThedaCare has been named on the Forbes list of Best-in-State Employers 2022 – one of only seven health care providers across Wisconsin included among the 50 top employers. ThedaCare employs 7,000 health care professionals across 17 counties in Northeast and Central Wisconsin.

“Our team members are the heart of our organization, caring and serving patients and families, and provide top quality at an affordable cost,” said Maggie Lund, Chief Human Resources Officer at ThedaCare. “This recognition reflects our commitment to both our team members and communities.”

America’s Best-in-State Employers 2022 were identified in an independent survey based on a vast sample of approximately 70,000 Americans working for companies with more than 500 employees in the United States. Across 25 industry sectors, nearly 1,400 employer brands were ranked among the top employers. Brands were able to win in more than one state.

The ranking was based on direct and indirect recommendations from employees who were asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to friends and family. Employees were also asked to evaluate other employers in their respective industry and state that stood out either positively or negatively.

“ThedaCare team members played a pivotal role in our organization achieving this ‘best-in-state’ recognition through their positive views,” Lund added. “It validates that we are living our mission, which is to improve the health and well-being of our communities by empowering each person to live their unique, best life. This includes our team members.”

For more than 110 years, ThedaCare has been dedicated to providing compassionate, comprehensive care for Northeast and Central Wisconsin, delivering that care to more than 650,000 residents. As one of the leading not-for-profit health systems in the state, ThedaCare supports local communities through innovative care techniques, educational resources, clinical research and a patient-first approach.

“We want to enrich the lives of our employees and the patients they serve, creating value in everything we do,” Lund said. “This recognition tells us that we are creating a culture where our employees can thrive on the job and in their communities.”

This award is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. The awards list was announced on August 24th, 2022 and can currently be viewed on the Forbes website
