ThedaCare becomes Fox Cities Chamber’s second Platinum-Certified Employee Friendly Workplace; First healthcare provider to achieve certification

The Fox Cities Chamber has certified ThedaCare as a platinum-level Employee Friendly Workplace (EFW), the highest level of this award a company can attain. They are only the second company to reach the platinum level, and the first Fox Cities healthcare provider to achieve EFW certification.

EFW certification recognizes employers who demonstrate a significant commitment to promoting work/life integration by creating a positive work environment and experience for all employees.

“We rate employers in four major categories: Paid Leave and Flexible Work Schedules, Health and Wellness Support, Financial Support and Perks,” explained Eric Broten, Director of Economic Development at the Chamber. “Employers are then given a score and if qualified, rank as Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum. We are thrilled to add ThedaCare to this prestigious list as our newest Employee Friendly Workplace certified employer, and our second platinum level workplace.”

The mission of the Fox Cities Employee Friendly Workplace Initiative is to encourage the adoption of more employee friendly workplace practices and policies in order to enhance work/life balance and successfully attract and retain the best employees to the region.

For more than 110 years, ThedaCare has been committed to improving the health and well-being of the communities it serves in Northeast and Central Wisconsin. The organization empowers people to live their best lives through individualized care, in a community of more than 600,000 residents with approximately 7,000 healthcare professionals.

“We are pleased to earn this platinum-level Employee Friendly Workplace recognition, and believe it reflects our commitment to both our team members and communities,” said Maggie Lund, Chief Human Resources Officer at ThedaCare. “It validates that we are living our mission, which is to improve the health and well-being of our communities by empowering each person to live their unique, best life. This includes our team members.”
Platinum-certified employers set the bar for an Employee Friendly Workplace in the Fox Cities. They offer highly sought-after benefits, flexible policies and an environment that supports work/life integration and fosters an exceptional employee experience.

For ThedaCare, this includes comprehensive health and wellness benefits, professional learning opportunities to enhance skills, including leadership development, investments in high-performing teams, tuition assistance, clinical advancement program, financial support through caring for colleagues, employee volunteer program with match, community health action teams, and many more programs.

“Our team members are the heart of our organization, and ThedaCare is striving to enrich the lives of our employees and the patients they serve,” Lund said. “All of our many benefits and programs are part of our dedication to create a culture where our team members can thrive on the job, and in their communities.”
