Cassandra Glodowski, a licensed athletic trainer at Waupaca High School, said people often misunderstand what she does. “People hear the word ‘trainer’ and they think you work at a local gym helping people with their workouts, but that’s not it at all,” said Glodowski, who started at Waupaca High School in 2015.

Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) is designed to prevent and reverse the effects of diabetes, obesity, hypertension and high cholesterol. This ThedaCare program includes a before and after lifestyle evaluation for total cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides, fasting blood sugar, blood pressure and weight, a textbook, workbook and food samples.
ThedaCare has partnered with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections (DOC), Options Outpatient AODA Treatment, and Nova Inpatient AODA Treatment in Oshkosh and the manufacturers of Vivitrol for an innovative program to combat the growing problem of opioid abuse among prison populations in Wisconsin. ThedaCare joined the DOC Vivitrol Program in July to treat prisoners while serving their sentences so they would be less likely to relapse upon release. The program is currently available in Waupaca, Oshkosh and Encircle Health in Appleton.

An orthopedic surgeon is a specialist in the treatment of injury and ailments of the body’s bones, joints, and soft tissues (muscles, tendons, and ligaments). Dr. Jeff Sundblad of ThedaCare Orthopedic Care is an orthopedic trauma surgeon, also known as a fracture specialist. His additional training enables him to treat traumatic injuries like multiple broken bones, compound fractures, fractures near a joint, or pelvis fractures. “I am working with the sickest, most broken patients. Many are victims of severe accidents. There are so many ways we can help them, and I love being part of that healing and recovery process,” he said.
ThedaCare has named Carrie Riley to director of Transitions of Care. In this role, she is responsible for the Heritage-Peabody Communities, Juliette Manor, senior care services, ThedaCare Hospice, palliative care and the chaplains at both ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Appleton.

Dr. Krystina Pischke, DO, has been fascinated with doctors and clinics as long as she can remember. As a little girl growing up in the Fox Valley, she asked to go along on her family’s appointments just to see the buzz of the busy clinic. That interest deepened as she grew older and began volunteering at Appleton Medical Center. “I started in the daycare and the gift shop, but I was happy when I had a chance to work in the surgical center.”
