APPLETON, Wis. – ThedaCare Board of Trustees named Imran Andrabi, MD, as the new president and chief executive officer of the Wisconsin-based healthcare organization at its Board meeting Tuesday, April 18. Dr. Andrabi will join ThedaCare on June 19, 2017, following the retirement of Dr. Dean Gruner, who has led the system for nine years.

After caring for Waupaca area patients for more than 40 years, Robert L. Peterson, MD, celebrated his 70th birthday in mid-March by retiring.
A person should take care of his or her mental health in the same way one cares for his or her physical health, said Joe Lamb, MD, family physician at ThedaCare Physicians-New London. “When we think about heart health, we take steps to manage our weight, quit smoking, or start exercising. But if something happens, like we have chest pain, we need to go in. That’s how we should look at our mental health, too,” Dr. Lamb said.
“Why are you holding your arm over your chest? Are you having chest pain?” asked Scott Ludford’s doctor, Mindy Frimodig, DO, at the Zion Lutheran Church social in Shawano last spring. Pastor Ludford smiled and assured her he didn’t have chest pain.
“When you spend your days on your feet like I do, your knees are a big deal. I was at a point where I needed both knees replaced. I couldn’t afford to keep putting off the procedure because my quality of life was starting to suffer.
