Riverside Medical Center’s (RMC) Cindy Tate serves multiple disciplines in the community. She is an RMC facilitator for the ThedaCare Improvement System (lean). Outside of RMC, she is on-call for Waupaca County as a deputy coroner, sometimes called a death investigator — a position she’s held for eight years.
Courtney Breit, a 16 year old girl, knows just how quick your life can change. On June 19, she was in a traumatic car crash that left her with lower extremity injuries, and required her to be flown by ThedaStar to Children’s Hospital for surgery.

May is Trauma Awareness Month. You often hear me talk about what happens inside the Trauma Center at Theda Clark Medical Center. But this year is different. I want to talk about what happens outside of this building that makes all the difference.
The new group, which is called Air It Up Better Breathers, will not only provide information to people with COPD, asthma or other respiratory diseases, but also be an outlet for them to talk about their shared challenges.

Anyone who has spent significant amount of time outdoors in Wisconsin has surely experienced the effect of a mosquito bite. Often these bites are a minor nuisance and result in a skin reaction that is comprised of swelling and itching.
2012 was one of the deadliest years for motorcyclists in Wisconsin over the last two decades. The state recorded 114 motorcycle fatalities in 2012, the most since the all-time high of 123 in 1979.
