Icon Draws on Artistic Elements from the Community
ThedaCare is unveiling a new symbol for the new medical construction project and the integration of health services in Shawano at one campus. The symbol – Living Well Together – draws artistic elements from the community.
The Living Well Together symbol starts with the square image of a quilt, seen on the sides of many Shawano County barns. From there, green leaf swirls are pulled from the floral designs found in Menominee beadwork patterns. The square-in-square feature is often found in Amish quilt patterns while the blue and green colors in the symbol reflect the hues found in the area’s natural beauty.
The Living Well Together symbol will be used in announcements related to the planning and construction of ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano. Construction is expected to begin this summer on the center, which will be adjacent to ThedaCare Physicians-Shawano on County B. Once the center opens, it will have a logo that fits with other ThedaCare building logos.
The symbol represents how ThedaCare and the area residents are working together to create a healthier community, said Shawano Medical Center CEO Dorothy Erdman.
“The new campus will create a medical home for the entire community, pulling together the many services that patients want and expect through all phases of their lives. For our patients, healthcare is becoming wellness-care,” she said. “We are bringing together the people and services they need to help us live well, together.”
