APPLETON, Wis. – With the commitment to providing easy access to health care for the communities we serve, ThedaCare recently purchased land adjacent to ThedaCare Health Campus–Encircle.
As part of the ThedaCare mission of improving the health of the communities we serve, we continually monitor changing demographics and expectations, and watch for opportunities to prepare for responsible, sustainable growth. Future development of the region is expected north and northwest of Appleton, including shifts in residential populations from other parts of the region.
“We know that the Fox Cities is one of the state’s fastest growing areas with about 250,000 residents,” said Thomas Arquilla, ThedaCare Chief Strategy Officer. “The purchase of the land provides flexibility for future expansions on the ThedaCare Health Campus, based on growing and changing community needs and access to health care and well-being services.”
The 40-acre land purchase from Guardian Life includes the building at 2300 East Capitol Drive, Appleton. ThedaCare took possession on April 1, 2021, and now serves as property manager, with responsibility for all aspects of the land and building. Guardian Life is leasing the third floor of the building and we will explore other options for the building.
