Vizient recognizes hospitals and healthcare systems for demonstrating excellence in delivering high-quality care based on the Vizient Quality and Accountability Study.

“We’re pleased to earn these recognitions from Vizient, highlighting our quality metrics which provide measurement of the safe, high-quality care we provide for our patients and families,” said Imran A. Andrabi, MD, FAAFM, president and chief executive officer, Froedtert ThedaCare. “We deeply appreciate the expertise, compassion and dedication of our team members. Their commitment to delivering exceptional care and advancing positive outcomes is what enables us to serve our communities with excellence.”

Froedtert ThedaCare leaders emphasized that hospital awards and recognitions are an opportunity to celebrate the collective efforts and meaningful impact of teams serving patients and communities.

“These recognitions are evidence of a health system working together to deliver exceptional patient care,” said Ian Schwartz, MD, chief clinical officer, Froedtert ThedaCare, senior associate dean, Quality, Medical College of Wisconsin School of Medicine. “Each recognition reflects the collective efforts of physicians, clinicians and team members across the system who share a commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement. These honors give patients confidence that they have access to high-quality care, no matter where they enter our system.”

This year, 1,346 participating hospitals were segmented into seven cohorts for the Vizient Quality and Accountability Study. The study measures performance on the quality of patient care in six domains: safety, mortality, effectiveness, efficiency, patient centeredness and variation in care. The study factors in measures from the Vizient Clinical Data Base and includes performance data from the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey and the CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network.

“Delivering consistently high-quality care requires organizations to align clinical expertise, operational discipline and a continuous focus on improvement,” said David Levine, MD, chief medical officer, Vizient. “The hospitals recognized this year demonstrate what is possible when that commitment is embedded across the organization, resulting in better performance and, most importantly, better care for patients.”

The Vizient Quality and Accountability Study helps participating hospitals and health systems understand their performance against their peers and identifies structures and processes associated with high performance in quality and safety across a broad spectrum of patient care activity.

The recognition period is for work spanning July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026.
