Elena Fry Hansen, APNP, to Specialize in Pulmonology

Elena Fry Hansen is now on the staff at Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center, as a nurse practitioner specializing in pulmonology. She is a member of Fox Valley Pulmonary Medicine.

After receiving an undergraduate degree in human development and family studies from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Elena earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from UW-Green Bay. She completed her master’s degree in nursing at Concordia University in Mequon, and received board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Elena works with all types of lung conditions, including care for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary hypertension and asthma. The best part of her job, Elena explains, is building relationships as she interacts with people and gets to know them on a more personal level. Hiking, snowboarding and cheering on the Green Bay Packers are among her hobbies outside of work. She also keeps busy with her family.
