Former Copper Rock Café Location to Feature Healthy Choices
Fresh Market Coffee and Deli opened inside Encircle Health at 2500 E. Capitol Drive in Appleton. The 18-seat deli and café operates in a space recently vacated by Copper Rock Coffee Company, an eatery that opened in 2010. The new deli opened last week.
According to Larry London, executive chef at ThedaCare, this was an opportunity to run a deli that aligned with ThedaCare’s wellness initiatives and values. “We serve food that is nutritious and delicious for our employees, patients, and their families. It’s another way to move these values forward, into the everyday lives of people we care about,” he said.
Fresh Market Deli and Coffee is open to patients, staff, and the general public. Its menu choices feature foods as close as possible to “as grown.” This includes fresh produce, in-season fruits, whole grain breads, and locally sourced meat and dairy. Foods will be prepared from scratch whenever possible, and will include deli sandwiches, paninis, salads, soups, pizza, and more. Copper Rock Coffee will continue to be served, and catering services will be available to Encircle Health tenants, including the adjacent newly built ThedaCare Regional Cancer Center.”
Encircle Health, which opened in October 2009, is a partnership with ThedaCare and is a multi-specialty ambulatory care center that offers patients a convenient single location for outpatient healthcare needs. It integrates primary care and several specialty groups, along with an array of medical services such as a comprehensive lab, pharmacy, phlebotomy, advanced CT, MRI, state-of-the-art endoscopy, ultrasound, and 3D mammography.
