ThedaCare Names New COO For Fox Cities Hospitals

Mark Hallett, MD, MBOE, has been promoted to chief operating officer for Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

Hallet Takes Leadership Role at Appleton Medical Center, Theda Clark

Mark Hallett, MD, MBOE, has been promoted to chief operating officer for Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

Dr. Hallett, who previously served as chief clinical officer, replaces Maryjeanne Schaffmeyer, who is retiring.

As chief clinical officer, Dr. Hallet headed up ThedaCare’s safety and quality work, including leading the system’s Ebola readiness, sponsoring the systemwide daily safety call, and leading ThedaCare’s Quality value stream improvement work. 

Prior to his role as chief clinical officer, he led ThedaCare Orthopedic Care and served as ThedaCare Physicians senior medical director.

In addition to receiving his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, he also earned his a Master’s of Business Operational Excellence (MBOE) in 2012 from the The Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University.
