Herzfeldt, Engel to Lead Improvement Teams
ThedaCare has promoted Shana Herzfeldt and Patsy Engel to directors of operations for its Fox Cities hospitals and transitions of care divisions. The openings were created when Jamie Dunham and Jodi Braun were named operational vice presidents for ThedaCare’s hospital division last year.
Herzfeldt and Engel will create models and teams to improve and apread accomplishments with the Fox Cities hospital division, which includes Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
Since joining ThedaCare 11 years ago, Engel has held several roles including coordinating disease management programs at Touchpoint Health Plan, an operations support specialist and a facilitator for ThedaCare’s continuous improvement program.
Herzfeldt joined ThedaCare nine years ago as a registered nurse at Appleton Medical Center. She then became a supervisor and manager for the hospital’s Collaborative Care Unit. During the past year, she also took a leadership role in ThedaCare’s Collaborative Care Spread and the Inpatient Value Stream.
