Sports Medicine Physician Arrives in Shawano

Douglas Connor, MD, a fellowship trained sports medicine physician, is now seeing ThedaCare patients in Shawano.

Dr. Connor will see patients at ThedaCare Physicians-Shawano. He also treats patients at ThedaCare Orthopedic Care clinic at Appleton Medical Center.

Dr. Connor specializes in pediatric and adolescent sports medicine. Some of his interests and experience in the field include concussion management, non-operative fracture care, overuse injury, acute injury treatment and musculoskeletal ultrasound.

Board-certified in pediatrics and internal medicine, Dr. Connor received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and completed his combined residency training there, too. Dr. Connor also completed a pediatric sports medicine fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics – Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness.

When he’s not at work, Dr. Connor enjoys spending time with his family. He enjoys running and getting out on the golf course whenever he can.
