Nurse Practitioner Receives National Award

Tina Bettin of ThedaCare Physicians-Manawa Earns Honor

Tina Bettin, a nurse practitioner at ThedaCare Physicians-Manawa, received the American Association of Nurse Practitioners 2013 State Award of Excellence at a recent national convention.

The State Award of Excellence was established in 1991 and recognizes a nurse practitioner in each state that demonstrates excellence in their daily practice.

Bettin, who lives in Marion, has been a nurse practitioner for 25 years. She received her doctorate in nursing from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and her master’s and bachelor’s degrees in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. She has been certified in family practice by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 1988.

Bettin is also entering her second term as president of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Forum of the Wisconsin Nurses Association. She is also active in state and regional nursing organizations.
