Beginner Length

Shady Lane Trail

Asphalt Parking: Town of Menasha Municipal building parking lot at CB and Shady Lane
Located in the Town of Menasha, the trail runs from the Cold Spring Road trail to just west of the CB Trail.  

Highway 10 Trail: Menasha and Neenah

Asphalt Parking: Fritse Park, the Town of Menasha Municipal Complex, and on American Drive. A segment of the Friendship Trail, the Highway 10 trail currently runs from American Drive to County CB. The Lake Street overpass is bicycle friendly, offering a connection to Neenah.  

Newberry Trail: Appleton
1.2 miles
Asphalt Parking: Telulah Park and on several cross streets along the trail. Located between South River Street and Telulah Park in Appleton, the trail runs along the south bank of the navigation canal of the Fox River near downtown. It offers spectacular views of the Fox River with ample benches for seating and opportunities for fishing.

FVTC/Hwy 41 Overpass Trail and Wellness Wildlife Area

Asphalt Parking: FVTC parking lot Begins at the corner of County “OO” and Bluemound Rd. The trail winds through FVTC property and up to the overpass, crossing Highway 41 and then down past the Fox Cities Stadium to Casaloma.  

Moderate Length

CB Trail: Neenah and Menasha
4.1 miles
Asphalt Parking: Town of Menasha Municipal Complex, street parking on several cross streets. Although it runs along a four lane roadway, the scenery is diverse and picturesque. The trail passes through farmland, woodlands, overlooks a marsh, and overlooks an active quarry.

Apple Creek Trail: Northern Appleton
4.5 miles
Asphalt Parking: Lot at Ballard Road and Evergreen Drive Developed by the Appleton Parks & Recreation Department, travels from the west end of the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans property, past the Youth Sports Complex and almost to Holland Road.  

Challenging Length

Wiouwash Trail: Hortonville

Gravel Parking: Highway 10 at Medina and at Black Otter Lake in Hortonville The trail runs six miles from Hortonville to the Winnebago County line near the junction of Highways 41 and 45. Operated and maintained by the Outagamie County Parks Department, it features a picnic area just north of Highway 10. This is a great trail for spotting birds and other wildlife, as many segments go near or through wetlands.  

Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve: Menasha

Gravel, bark chips
Parking: Lot at the nature preserve. Scenic trails weave through diverse habitats: meadow, cedar swamp, forest, prairie and pond. Visit the earth-sheltered nature center to see educational exhibits and browse the bookstore.
