Spinning classes, yoga boot camp, I was doing it all. Then suddenly, I heard a ‘pop.’ I did something to my calf muscle. Even walking was painful. After I aggravated the calf for the third time, I said, ‘enough is enough.’ I called and got into the orthopedics office pretty quickly, and we agreed that physical therapy would be the right move.
I went for a couple months to physical therapy, but I could still feel a twinge. The appointments helped somewhat, and I went for massages which also seemed like they helped a little. But nothing was really addressing the issue. Then my physical therapist thought I might respond well to dry needling. After two appointments, my calf felt so much better! The combination of the two therapies helped me get back to doing what I love.
“Today, my calf feels great. I can do everything I need to do. I don’t feel hesitant at all, and I can do any high-impact workout I want!”
