ThedaCare Sponsoring One-Mile Run on Oct. 10

A new ThedaCare Kids Fun Run will be part of the 8th Annual Reach the Peak Run at Nordic Mountain Ski Resort on Saturday, October 10 to help raise money for a local after school enrichment program.

Sponsored by Thrivent Financial, Reach the Peak includes a 15k run, a 5k run/walk, a 1-mile kids run and a 1-mile family stroll. ThedaCare is the main sponsor for the kids’ run. All funds raised go to the A+ After School Program, which provides enrichment and academic activities for the Wautoma Area School District for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.

All events take place in scenic Mt. Morris and runners and walkers alike can enjoy the great fall colors, said Heather Steffen, a community relations manager for CHN, which is a part of ThedaCare, in Berlin.

“ThedaCare’s mission is to improve the health of its communities and this event does that,” she said. “It not only provides a fun, fitness activity for all members of the family, but also benefits a worthwhile program in the community.”

People can register for the event at www.active.com or at www.reachthepeakrace.com
