ThedaCare At Home Sleep Apnea Support Group Meeting April 14
Proper cleaning and care of continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) machines is important to keep them running properly and help people with sleep apnea get a good night’s sleep. ThedaCare At Home respiratory therapists will focus on how to care for CPAP equipment at the next A.W.A.K.E. Sleep Apnea Support Group meeting on Tues., April 14.
Registration for the session begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Ironwood Room at Appleton Medical Center, with the program starting at 6 p.m.
ThedaCare At Home Respiratory Therapists will demonstrate the proper, most effective way to disassemble, clean and disinfect CPAP equipment. They will discuss traditional cleaning methods vs. using a SoClean machine and about cleaning methods and supplies that can be disruptive to your sleep and harmful to the machine.
The event is free, but advance registration is required by calling ThedaCare On Call at 800-236-2236.
