Our History
In 1941, a hospital was established in the small community of Wild Rose. Today, that same hospital has grown by leaps and bounds, continuing its tradition of excellent care for Waushara County families by providing immediate access to emergency, diagnostic, rehabilitation and outpatient surgical services.
Our Community Impact
We believe that a person’s health is not only impacted by the health care system but also the world around them. That is why ThedaCare continues to partner with organizations throughout Wild Rose and its surrounding communities to support initiatives that make a difference to individuals and their families, including:
- Addressing policy, systems and environmental factors influencing the health and wellness of Waushara County residents (REACH Waushara)
- Training community members and businesses to administer care in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives (Stop the Bleed)
- Engaging students through activities, advice and encouragement to promote healthy habits and to share their knowledge with their families (Good to Go)
Creating Positive Change
Every three years, ThedaCare conducts a health needs assessment of each of our seven hospital markets. Based on the results, plans are created to guide our work and address the most critical health challenges facing these communities we serve.
