Make a Meaningful Impact

Registered radiologic technologists play an important role within healthcare. Technologists can work in many types of imaging, where they use their knowledge to capture diagnostic images of patients. Their work helps radiologists and physicians provide a timely and accurate diagnosis of disease and injury. This in turn provides knowledge and peace of mind to the patients they serve.

The wide variety of clinical sites ThedaCare offers for training students contributes to the quality of graduates. Students are exposed to just about every scope of radiology there is, so when they graduate and begin work as a new employee, they’re ready for the job right away.

The ThedaCare School of Radiologic Technology is a 21-month program. Accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the program holds the maximum accreditation award of eight years. This accreditation award is valid until the next site visit in 2032.

Our program produces quality technologists who get jobs soon after graduating. See the Program Effectiveness 2024.

  • The employment of radiologic technologists is projected to grow 6% from 2023 to 2033, faster than the average for all occupations. (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics)
  • In 2026, the ThedaCare School of Radiology graduated 13 of 13, and all students passed their ARRT national board licensure exam, with 11 of those students staying within ThedaCare
