ThedaCare Welcomes Rehabilitation Physician Gerachshenko

Tatyana Gerachshenko, MD, PhD, has joined ThedaCare as a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She will practice at ThedaCare Orthopedic Care in Neenah with an interest in inpatient and outpatient comprehensive stroke rehabilitation.

Tatyana Gerachshenko, MD, PhD, has joined ThedaCare as a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. She will practice at ThedaCare Orthopedic Care in Neenah with an interest in inpatient and outpatient comprehensive stroke rehabilitation.

Dr. Gerachshenko earned her medical degree at National Medical University in Ukraine. She completed her doctorate degree in neurobiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she was honored as an Outstanding Teaching Assistant and received the Award for Excellence in Research. Her interest in brain recovery after stroke led to a completion of a stroke research fellowship at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. Dr. Gerachshenko served as the chief resident for the physical medicine and rehabilitation program at the University of Utah. She belongs to the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Outside of work, Dr. Gerachshenko stays active through swimming, hiking and skiing. She also enjoys traveling and gardening.
