Family Physician Joins ThedaCare Spencer

ThedaCare welcomes Jim Spencer, MD, a family medicine physician who will practice at ThedaCare Physicians-Waupaca.   

After graduating from the University of Wisconsin with his bachelor’s degree, Dr. Spencer earned his medical degree at the UW-School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed his residency training in family medicine at Appleton Medical Center and St. Elizabeth Hospital and was the recipient of the Outstanding First Year Resident and Resident Teaching Award. Dr. Spencer was nominated for the Gold Humanism Honor Society and earned the Dr. Lester Brillman Scholarship for his dedication to family medicine. His professional affiliations include the Wisconsin Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Association.

Outside of work, Dr. Spencer has many hobbies, including cycling, camping, water sports and deer hunting. He enjoys time with his family and also likes cooking, traveling and homebrewing.
