The American Heart Association is proud to announce the chairs of the first-ever Fox Cities Heart Ball. Dr. Dean Gruner, ThedaCare President and Chief Executive Officer, and Dr. Greg Long, ThedaCare Chief Medical Officer, will co-chair the black-tie gala on Nov. 10 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. Contributions raised from this event will go toward cardiovascular research and educational programs, building Fox Valley lives free of cardiovascular disease and stroke.

Dr. Gruner has been a part of the Fox Valley community for more than 30 years, including leading ThedaCare as President and CEO since 2008. Dr. Long has served as ThedaCare Chief Medical Officer since 2008, following nearly 15 years as a family physician.

“Cardiovascular disease and stroke threaten the lives of too many in our community. With the American Heart Association, we are helping to improve the health of the communities we serve,” said Dr. Gruner. “Dr. Long and I are honored to be the co-chairs of the 2017 Fox Cities Heart Ball. This inaugural event will bring more heart health awareness and education to residents in the Fox Cities.”
