CORSO TO LEAD THEDACARE MEDICAL CENTER
IN NEW LONDON AND WAUPACA
Replaces Retiring Bill Schmidt in New London, Bending in Waupaca
ThedaCare has hired David Corso as Vice President, Critical Access Hospitals–New London and Waupaca, effective September 4. He replaces the retiring Bill Schmidt in New London and Tammy Bending, the interim leader in Waupaca. Bending will continue to serve as the Vice President of Critical Access Hospitals in Berlin and Wild Rose.
Corso was most recently the chief operating officer for Beaver Dam Community Hospitals in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. Prior to that, he was the manager of Orthopedics Plus Rehabilitation Services for ThedaCare; director of rehab services, hyperbaric medicine, wound care, IV therapy and plasmapheresis for Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh; director of rehabilitation services at Western Arizona Regional Medical in Bullhead City; and manager of physical therapy at the Orthopedic and Spine Therapy Center in Green Bay.
He has a master of business administration (MBA) from California State University-Dominquez Hills, a master of physical therapy from Carroll College in Waukesha, and a bachelor of science in kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Corso grew up on a small farm outside Montello and has deep respect for small Wisconsin communities. “It’s critical to get involved,” he said, listing his passion for coaching youth sports and longtime membership in Kiwanis as ways he stays engaged with friends and neighbors outside of work. “I am a clinician at heart, and I believe strongly in the patient-centered philosophy of ThedaCare,” he said.
