APPLETON, Wis. – ThedaCare Cardiovascular Care welcomes Babar Parvez, M.D., MSCI, FACC, a board-certified physician specializing in clinical cardiac electrophysiology for rhythm disorders of the heart.

Dr. Parvez holds bachelor’s degrees in medicine and surgery from Allama Iqbal Medical College in Pakistan. He received his doctor of medicine degree from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, and continued his training in the U.S. at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Meharry Medical College, Nashville, and completed fellowships in clinical pharmacology, clinical cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Vanderbilt University in Nashville. He is double board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Cardiology and Heart Rhythm Society.

As a previous director of arrhythmia services at Omaha VA Medical Center, Dr. Parvez revamped and revitalized his division to provide the latest, cutting-edge medical treatment to our country’s veterans. He also served as an assistant professor at Creighton University, School of Medicine.

Outside of work, Dr. Parvez enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. The family enjoys outdoor activities, ping pong, international travel and movies.
