Arquilla Joins ThedaCare As Chief Strategy Business Development Officer

Mercy Health Executive to Start June 26

ThedaCare welcomes Thomas Arquilla, who will be the new chief strategy and business development officer. He will provide oversight and leadership related to strategy, business development and provider partnerships.. He will start June 26. For the past six years he has worked for Mercy Health, a non-profit Catholic healthcare ministry serving Ohio and Kentucky. Most recently he served as chief strategy officer in Toledo, and led the development of several key growth initiatives including the opening of the region’s first freestanding emergency room in Perrysburg. Additionally, under Arquilla’s leadership Mercy Health and the Toledo Clinic formed a partnership for oncology services, leading to the opening of the Mercy Health – Perrysburg Cancer Center in fall 2016, which offers comprehensive cancer care and treatment in one location.

Prior to Mercy Health, Arquilla worked at Premier Health Partners in Dayton, Ohio, a four-hospital system with an 800-bed teaching hospital and 14,000 employees where he served as Vice President of Physician Support Services. He has more than 30 years of healthcare experience. In addition, he has served as legal counsel and held several vice president level positions in operations and business development.

Arquilla is a University of Dayton alumnus, having received his Bachelor of Science in criminal justice along with both an MBA and juris doctorate from the university. He and his wife, who have two grown children, plan to relocate to the Fox Cities.

Arquilla will re-join Imran Andrabi, MD, who also was from Mercy Health. Dr. Andrabi was named the new president and chief executive officer of ThedaCare in April. Dr. Andrabi starts June 19.
