ThedaCare named John Gijsen to the newly created position of director of facilities management-system locations.

In this role, Gijsen will lead a system approach to facilities management throughout all of ThedaCare’s clinics, New London Medical Center, Riverview Medical Center in Waupaca, Shawano Medical Center, the Heritage and Peabody Manor Community, ambulatory care centers and support facilities. He will work closely with Cliff Schneider, the director of facilities management for Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah, to foster collaboration and create efficiencies.

Gijsen joined ThedaCare in 2010 as a ThedaCare Improvement System facilitator. Prior to joining ThedaCare, he held upper management positions in the airline industry and the international manufacturing sector of commercial/medical packaging. Gijsen has a bachelor’s degree in organizational administration from the University of Wisconsin.
