Collins to Lead Improvement Efforts for Physician Services

ThedaCare promoted Dan Collins to director of quality supporting the improvement efforts and strategic plans for the physician services unit.

Collins works out of ThedaCare’s Quality Department and lead efforts to continue the health system’s strong quality performance measures in chronic disease and preventative care. He takes over for Carrie Riley, who became practice administrator for ThedaCare Physicians-Internal Medicine.

Collins has been with ThedaCare since 1997 in numerous roles, including emergency department registered nurse, paramedic, ThedaCare Improvement System facilitator, business unit manager for Appleton Medical Center’s ICU and Cardiovascular Services and, most recently was the cardiovascular system value stream director.

He has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a master’s degree in business operational excellence from Ohio State University.
