Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on what we are thankful for, personally and professionally.
My family and I have fully moved into this great community. We are now on the other side helping visitors see what makes Northeast and Central Wisconsin so special. My daughter, who is a senior, transitioned to her new high school a few months ago, settled into her classes and quickly made friends. Like me, she likes the atmosphere of this area and feels relaxed and happy. To us, this is now home and we are so appreciative for the warm welcome.
To ThedaCare’s 6,700 team members, thank you for what you do to put our patients, families and loved ones first. Healthcare is a calling and you show me every day how dedicated you are to working together to ensure our patients receive expert, local, personalized care close to home in the most compassionate and convenient way possible.
I am thankful for the patients who put their trust in us for their health and care. You invite us in during some of life’s most vulnerable moments and deserve expert care delivered with kindness and gratitude. It is a privilege and an honor that you choose to have us be part of your lives.
I also want to extend thanks to the generous people who advance the mission of ThedaCare through donations, gifts, volunteerism, leadership and more. ThedaCare grew out of our community’s generosity and I am grateful for your faithful support.
Recently I had the opportunity to read to a first grade class as part of a community health initiative, Read Well Be Well. A young girl saw my ThedaCare badge and proudly shared how she and her siblings were born at ThedaCare. Other children chimed in too. I was amazed a six year old would know and make a connection to ThedaCare.
Together, we make up the tapestry of our community. We are a part of each other’s lives. And for that, I am so thankful.
