Olympian Hyman Speaking in Neenah

Misty Hyman’s come-from-behind victory in the 200m butterfly was one of the highlights of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. After failing to make the 1996 Olympic team and facing defending champion Australian Susie O’Neill, many thought the best she could do was finish second. But by using her signature underwater dolphin kick, Hyman stunned everyone by winning gold. Hyman will share her inspiring journey from being a sickly child with asthma to standing atop the Olympic podium at a special presentation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Sat., Jan. 30 at Shattuck Middle School Auditorium in Neenah.
