“Am I going skiing again? Of course I am!” — Connor Weingart
I kind of broke my leg during a ski club trip. And by “kind of,” I mean I completely broke it. I was heading down a hill, and I changed course too fast and too hard. My ski came off, I fell down and I heard the “crack.” I broke the tibia and fibula in my left leg. When we got to ThedaCare in Neenah, everything was calm and organized. Dr. Sears is an awesome doctor. He was really listening to me and speaking to me, not my mom, which is cool because sometimes doctors talk to the parents instead of the kids. Taking me to ThedaCare was an easy decision for my mom. She had high expectations, but Dr. Sears took things to a higher level.
I started with a green cast, then got an orange one, and then none! I’m back to normal. I signed up for ski club again. My mom’s a little nervous I think, but I just had a string of unfortunate events that week. That’s all!
