The MyThedaCare and Ripple applications are separate but complementary tools designed to help you manage your health. These apps will remain separate, and MyThedaCare will not be replaced by Ripple.
MyThedaCare is your traditional medical record portal designed to grant access to information and expedite communications. Patients can access their ThedaCare medical records and test results, view and manage upcoming appointments, communicate with their providers, renew prescriptions and pay bills.
Ripple is a more comprehensive and personalized digital health platform that is designed to streamline the journey of care for both existing and prospective ThedaCare patients. Your patient data can exist in many different places across multiple providers, payor systems, labs, and other systems. MyThedaCare’s primary data source is from ThedaCare’s Epic electronic health record,
which may not have a full comprehensive view of a patient if care was not provided by that health system. Or if the patient has multiple doctors, specialists or receives care in multiple states.Ripple will work great for you if you are receiving care from multiple places outside of ThedaCare. That way you can bring in your medical insurance, visit history, and health summaries from all of your healthcare providers (not just ThedaCare) in one application. And based on your medical needs and history, you will receive personalized health related information and activities to help with your care
Your Ripple and MyThedaCare accounts are different applications that require separate log-ins. The Ripple app is more comprehensive and will bring in data from all of your healthcare providers. Once you have made the appropriate connections, your MyThedaCare data will be visible in Ripple.
Yes! This will allow you to have a better understanding of your full health picture and even integrate MyThedaCare features like appointment scheduling into Ripple. Once your accounts have been linked your MyThedaCare data will be visible through the “Health Summary” section in Ripple.
All information from your connected patient portals will be pulled into the Ripple automatically. Users will have the ability to choose the data they want to pull in (for example: vitals, encounters). If anything is missing from specific portals, you’ll need to reach out to those providers directly to have it added. If you find that information is missing from your Ripple app, but you are expecting it to be there, please contact support. If your provider doesn’t have a patient portal, you can request your records and upload them manually into the app.
Once consent is given and you’ve entered valid credentials, the connection is active and all new information, including lab results, will automatically upload to your app.
By authorizing the connection of your health data from your external participating health care providers and health insurers, your data will be accessible through Ripple for your personal use.
Your health care providers at ThedaCare will not be sent this data. ThedaCare will not review the connected data, and will only have access to it if you consent to share your data with ThedaCare. You can adjust your preferences from the Ripple settings menu at any time.
By agreeing to share your data with ThedaCare, you authorize the app to share this health data with the ThedaCare health team so that we can present you with additional personalized health insights, content, and recommendations.
Data shared with ThedaCare through Ripple is not actively monitored. Call 911 for emergencies.
ThedaCare works with b.well Connected Health to help you securely collect and share your health data in one place. Both collecting and sharing are in your control, and you can change either of them at any time.
ThedaCare and b.well work to keep your data private and secure. You decide when you want to connect health data from your insurance company, providers, labs and pharmacies. You control with whom and how your health data can be used and shared with family members, caregivers and other providers. Neither ThedaCare nor b.well will ever sell your personally identifiable data.
We are committed to maintaining our users’ trust, which is why we work hard to protect our users from unauthorized access, or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction.
For more information about our commitment to health data privacy and security, please review ThedaCare’s Privacy Policy and b.well’s public commitment to health data privacy and security.
Users are able to disconnect their data. it is your right to do so. This can be done by contacting the Ripple by ThedaCare customer service team using the in-app support options or emailing ripple_support@icanbwell.com.
We add new providers, health systems, & insurance carriers connections on an ongoing basis. If you provided your insurance carrier to us, then we will communicate with you once that insurance portal is available.
The most common reason insurance won’t connect is due to an error when entering your insurance log-in credentials. Please make sure you have entered the exact information into the appropriate fields.
Here are some reasons you may be having trouble connecting your insurance.- Some member IDs include letters AND numbers. If that’s the case, make sure you’ve entered both!
- Make sure the name you used to create your account matches the name on your insurance card. For example, if your account is “Tony Smith” but your health insurance card says “Anthony Smith,” you may get an error message. If you need to edit your name, you may do so by clicking on the “My Account” icon in the top right corner of your app.
- Your date of birth must match in your account with the date you have on file with your insurance provider.
