That vision inspired ThedaCare, along with its partners at Neuroscience Group, to create ThedaCare Medical Center-Orthopedic, Spine and Pain.

Experts in surgery, physical therapy, pain management and sports medicine helped design the flow of space, people, equipment and technology throughout the center. That process led to the creation of a one-of-a-kind care environment that maximizes patient experience and staff collaboration. The center brings together experts from ThedaCare and Neuroscience Group who collaborate to provide seamless, coordinated care for all of your orthopedic, spine and pain needs. And more efficient care can lead to reduced patient costs.

ThedaCare and its partners remain dedicated to population health and continue to prepare and respond to the needs of the community — keeping our patients and families safe and healthy, now and always. Demand for orthopedic and spine services is increasing as Wisconsinites are aging and becoming more active.

According to the Wisconsin Department of Administration, the communities ThedaCare serves will see an 8% to 17% increase in those age 55 and older through 2040. As people live more active lives, sports-related injuries also are increasing. The fields of sports medicine and spine medicine have grown 26% and 24%, respectively, in the last five years.

In 2021, Harvard Health reported that surgeons perform an average of 600,000 knee replacements and about 330,000 hip replacements each year. Those figures are expected to increase by a factor of five or six by 2035. This facility is designed to prepare us to meet that need.
