Complete Health Improvement Program (CHIP) is designed to prevent and reverse the effects of diabetes, obesity, hypertension and high cholesterol. The CHIP program is a series of 16, two-hour classes in a combination lecture and workshop format.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction

“Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction” will be offered from 6:30-8 p.m. Thursdays, Nov. 5, 12, and 19 at the Maasch Education Center, 902 Building, located on the campus of ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca. This class will be led by Barb Achten, LMT, and will follow the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction model, which is an evidence based and proven effective method of working to change the way we respond to stress in our bodies.

Community Health Network Diabetes Health Fair

Preparations are underway for the annual Community Health Network Diabetes Health Fair. This yearly educational opportunity will be held on Thursday, November 5th from 4:30pm-7:00pm at Berlin’s City Inn, 689 Broadway Street.

Ive Had Enough of My Knee Pain

A free ThedaCare community program in Shawano is designed to help people who suffer from knee pain. Clay Canaday, DO, with ThedaCare Orthopedic Care, will facilitate “I’ve Had Enough of My Knee Pain!” on Wed., Nov. 4. He will explore the latest surgical and non-surgical procedures that can help people ease their pain and get back to enjoying active lifestyles. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
