Weight of the Fox Valley will hold a kick-off event Thurs., June 5, at Bridgewood Resort Hotel & Conference Center, 1000 Cameron Way, Neenah. This new community initiative will support Calumet, Outagamie and Winnebago County residents of all ages to achieve and maintain a healthy body weight.

ThedaCare and its physicians will present the first-ever Chicken Chase beginning at 9 a.m. on Sat., June 21. The route starts and ends at Darboy Community Park at the intersection of Noe Road and Midway Road. The park is home to Chickenfest, which is sponsored annually by the Kiwanis Club of Darboy to raise funds for the various community projects that it supports.
Throughout June, ThedaCare Physicians-Pediatrics clinics in Appleton, Neenah and Darboy are holding a “diaper drive.”

ThedaCare is helping a school garden project take root in Oshkosh. A $1,670 donation from the health care system will be used to design, create, build and maintain a school garden project at Washington Elementary School in Oshkosh. Growing Oshkosh, Inc. will take ownership of the project to help get it started, said Dani Stolley, founder and president of the non-profit, organic urban Oshkosh farm that also works with schools to start their own gardens.
