ThedaCare Names Vice President of ThedaCare Medical Centers-New London and Waupaca

Jenny Derks to Lead Operations and Strategic Direction for Hospitals

ThedaCare leaders are pleased to announce Jenny Derks as the Vice President of ThedaCare Medical Centers-New London and Waupaca. In this role, Derks will oversee the operations and strategic direction of the two critical access hospitals that provide safe, comprehensive care for those living in Northeast and Central Wisconsin.

“I am proud to join ThedaCare, which is known in the region for being committed to providing easy access to outstanding health care close to home,” said Derks. “I look forward to working with the dedicated and talented teams at our hospitals in New London and Waupaca, so we continue to deliver the high-level of care that community members in Wisconsin deserve.”

Derks began her career in health care nearly three decades ago at a Fox Valley hospital as a team member in the medical/surgical/oncology floor. She moved through the organization and had the opportunity to join the Human Resources team where she managed the system compensation program and employee relations. She later continued her career as a Director of Finance and Hospital Support where she led all non-clinical departments and more. She was promoted to the Chief Administrative Officer and then to Regional Vice President of Operations for three Fox Valley hospitals.

“We are pleased to welcome Jenny to ThedaCare. She brings years of experiences and knowledge that will allow her to partner with key stakeholders and community members to respond to the unique needs of the rural communities,” said Kellie Diedrick, who recently served as Vice President of ThedaCare Medical Centers-New London and Waupaca. Diedrick continues her leadership with ThedaCare, now serving as Vice President of Critical Access Hospitals.

Derks earned her master’s degree from Southern New Hampshire University and won the Partners of Wisconsin Hospital Association Best of the Best Administrative Award in 2018.  She is active in the community, including serving on the Wisconsin Hospital Association Foundation Board of Directors, Oshkosh Area United Way Board of Directors and the Calumet Area Community Health Foundation Board of Directors.

She will begin her role at ThedaCare on September 3, 2024.
